Spring water cascading over the submerged rocks

Air fragrant with earthy smells

Wild flowers budding profusely

I don’t need anything extraneous here

Just I, alone with my thoughts

Nothing to aggravate or irritate me

I have had my portion of problems to deal with

Now I am at my secret retreat, and won’t allow

The world and its troubles to intrude
