And the Words: What do you call yourself?’ the Fawn said at last. Such a soft sweet voice it had! – Through the Looking Glass by Lewis Carroll

Steve stood on the quay looking at the pictures he had just taken with his new phone. Not bad he said to himself. Just then someone bumped him and the phone almost fell out of his hand. He turned back angrily to say something sharp to them.

He was looking at the most lovely girl he’d ever seen. Before he could say something, she said, “I am sorry. I am Fawn. What do you call yourself?’ Fawn said at last. Such a soft sweet voice she had!

“Oh it’s okay Fawn. Would you like to join me for a coffee?”
