Paula is the host of Thursday Inspiration
This week’s theme is sugar and the picture is below. Here is the song snippet from “Sugar Sugar,” a 1969 song by The Archies.
When I kissed you, girl, I knew how sweet a kiss could be
(I know how sweet a kiss can be)
Like the summer sunshine pour your sweetness over me
(Pour your sweetness over me)

~*~
Don’t be too sweet, sugar
People may swallow you whole
Yet don’t be so bitter that they would
Spit you out without even tasting
Be tangy and carry an air of mystery
They would be eager to know and explore
Too open, and people don’t bother looking deep
A hint of enigma always draws them in

I was thinking of you this morning. Do I remember you were here in the states because your daughter was finishing a doctoral thesis? My brain said, yep apple and tree. Brilliant minds sure run in the family.

Mystery is good to a point, but those closest to you need to be open and honest.
