PONDEROUS THOUGHT
MIXED THEMES
Life is never just one thing. This week, we’ll be incorporating one of these two sets of paired themes;
- Romance with horror
- Nature with Fantasy
Choose one of the two pairings. Have fun with the challenge, and watch the magic happen.
Romance gone wrong
They met and fell in love
Wedded with family’s blessings
It was a lavish affair with all the trimmings
But love and romance died an early death
As the true nature of the husband soon raised its head
He was no prince in shining armor
Rather he was a vampire sucking happiness out of her life
Violence was his favorite pastime
But words were his weapon, not leaving a mark
She tolerated the mental abuse until she could
But enough was enough and she wanted out of this nightmare
Now she is alone and happy with her own company
Sworn off romance for good because for her
It’s a gamble that doesn’t pay off in the end

Very terse and ominous but unfortunately sadly true in many cases.
It’s a good thing I read your blog Sadje because I don’t get your pingbacks, must be a glitch. You should be pasting your link just in case too.
I loved this though. Deep and honest

Thanks a lot Jude. You’re right I should have posted my link in your post. I will do it next time.
This is a true account of love gone wrong. And it’s not rare to hear or know of such cases. Sad indeed.

But where did she hide the body?🙊
Oh, I guess that’s just my twisted imagination.6

Since it’s a true story, I can tell you that though she wished him dead many times, that man is still alive and kicking. She is now happy with her own life.

It is unfortunately a story all too common.

There are many relationships that don’t work. Always sad when the one who flees feels the heart can never mend.
