I am sharing this post from 21 August 2019 as a part of Fandango Friday Flashback
Devereaux Frazier and Beth Amanda are currently hosting the Tuesday Writing Prompt Challenge which was started by our star writer Christine Ray.
Today’s prompt:
Use the phrase “edge of summer” in a poem or short piece of prose.
~*~*~*~*~
The edge of summer is slipping away
Fall is sliding slowly in place
The green giving way to the gold, rust and orange
Another spectacular vista soon to be created
When the weathers change the nature shows us
All the magnificent colors in her pallet
When edge of summer slips away
Bowing out gracefully to the colorful fall
