PROMPT #148

I am inspired by the following words, and offer the same as a writing prompt for this week.

  1. Silhouette
  2. Shade
  3. Phantom
  4. Spirit

No, you don’t have to use all four. You can use one or more of the given words in your piece – poetry or prose.

You may use the following images or poem by William Wordsworth as additional inspiration.

The spirit silhouetted like a phantom in the reflection

Looking back I see just an ordinary woman standing

Can I be dreaming the impossible dreams

Or this the reality always hidden from the obvious

In the shade of towering ego, hide a delicate soul

Trying to break free and be noticed for a change
