My memory often takes a walk in the past

The sights and smell of favorite places evoking redolence

Remembering the hustle and bustle of bygone days

Breath-less with excitement, running wild with happiness

Hand in the hand of that favorite uncle, who was simpatico

Cognizant of what a six year old would like to do

Taking me to the fair and letting me enjoy all that sticky food

In my memories I go a generation back when I was

A child myself, and not an aging relic that I am now
