Only the topmost ridges were in the sun now. The shadow in the valley was blue and Soft. The spectacular sunrise on this world was what we had been promised. I was glad that I’d signed up for this journey.
On the horizon, I saw some movement, and then I could see them clearly. Long-limbed and bulbar headed, they used voice simulator to communicate with us.
“You don’t have permission to land on our planet. Leave quickly or the consequences will be devastating!”
There was panic, but I stayed cool and clicked on the screen to end the program.
