Share Your World- 13-7-20

•What song always gets you out on the dance floor?

Since my knee surgery, no song can bring me to the dance floor. The twisting and turning motion can put my new knees at risk so I avoid dancing, totally.

Previously I could dance to a “Bhangra ” tune at a wedding!

•What’s your favorite sleeping position?

On my side, either one.

• If you could snap your fingers and instantly make the world better, what would you do?

I would snap my fingers and wish all deceit, insincerity, and selfishness to disappear. I think that should fix our problems.

• What’s the scariest thing you’ve ever done, and why did you do it?

A few years back we visited a hill station in Pakistan. There was a place where Swedish engineers had cut away mountains to create water tunnels and electricity generating plant. We decided to visit it. The road was hugging the side of a very high mountain and was just one track wide. That journey will always live in my memory as the most dangerous thing I’ve done.

Gratitude Moment (optional)

I will be leaving the US to go home in around three weeks. I am looking forward to going home and meeting the rest of my family and of course my husband.

A lovely view of the sky before it started to rain on Saturday.

  1. Thanks Sadje for Sharing Your World! We’ll miss you here (state side) but have a safe journey. I bet it will be good to go back to your home. I never thought of my artificial knee in regard to dancing, but I haven’t been able to properly dance since the 1990s..because I can’t stand up long enough to do so. I miss it too (although I was never a public dancer much). Have a wonderful rest of the week! 😀

  2. It’s probably safer for you back home. How sad is that?! 🙄🤦‍♀️

Quite an extended stay you’ve had. It’s good that you were able to help your daughter and grandson, but it will be nice to be back home.

I’m always dancing around, even though I’m a terrible dancers. I dance with my cart at the grocery store. All music just moves me😉🎶💃🏼

    1. How cool is that. I love the notion of dancing while shopping.
You’re right it is better back home. My daughter is actually finishing her doctorate and will be following me in a couple of months time. She is sad at leaving US but the purpose of her degree was to improve educational condition back in Pakistan.

  3. I love to sleep on my side too. And that’s such a sweet thing to do. If only we could snap our fingers and make the world alright. I loved your answers and I hope you’ll be united with your family soon

  4. I hope there will be no flight delays because of Corona and you can return to your family. I have never been on a mountain road… imagine that was pretty scary.

    1. Thanks Leigha, that journey will forever love in my memory. I just wanted to get out of the Jeep and walk instead of being driven.
I am facing a lot of issues going home. The flights are constantly being either cancelled or rescheduled and I am just praying that the current booking would hold.

  5. Ha, another side sleeper! I start on my right and flip/flop all night. May I ask where your home is? Hopefully you won’t encounter too many problems what with all that is going on with Covid.

    1. I am going home to Pakistan. And things are getting better over there. The problem is getting there. So far I’ve had to get 4-5 different bookings. I’m hoping this one will not be canceled or postponed.
