Saturday Mix- Rhyme time

Sarah is the host of Saturday Mix

Welcome to the Saturday Mix, 27 June 2020!

This week we are “writing away, and having a play, with rhyming words for you today” with Rhyme Time.

‘Rhyme Time’ focuses on the use of rhyme to build your writing piece. You will be given six rhyming words* and need to use all of them (but not limited to these) in your response, which should be a poetry form of your choice.

*Homophones can be used as alternatives to the challenge words.

Our rhyming words this week are:

1. save

2. brave

3. cave

4. wave (or waive)

5. gave

6. grave

It is the most known secret of life

It starts from the cradle and ends in the grave

You can rant and you can rave

The best is to utilize the gifts nature gave

Some people are trying to save

Their moments of joy by being cautious

Then there are others willing to be brave

They would face life head-on with a wave

Preferring to live rather than hide in a cave
