And the words:

“She launched herself at their leader.” – Lorraine Heath’s When A Duke Loves A Woman

Becca watched them stealthily from the cover of the trees. She was patient but there was a limit to her patience. When she saw them going for her rose bushes, she launched herself at their leader.

The goats were startled by this unexpected attack and scattered hastily. “I won’t let them ruin my rose bushes again, the savages!” Becca thought angrily.

She needed to talk to her neighbors who had no fence around their property and all too often their cattle and sheep wandered in her space. She wanted to be neighborly but not at the expense of her roses.
