Camp chop smoke trail vapor yearning monarch mountain current twist birdsong chill
The yearning to feel the mountain air on his face and to hear the birdsong brought him out of his camp early in the morning chill. The fire from yesterday was still going on with thin twists of smoke rising from the semi- burned logs. He would need to chop some more wood he noted. There was fog-like vapor hanging around the mountains. Soon he would be heading up the trail to take photos of the monarch butterflies Clustering in the fir trees. His current contract with Nat Geo was based on him getting pictures and details of this migration of monarchs.
