Keep this pittance of sympathy to yourself
Such measly offering is worse than nothing
What you offer in insincere words
Just provoke me into anger and disgust
Are you not all humans?
Are all not equal here I ask
Let not the slime of discrimination cloud your mind
See the newly emerging brotherhood of humanity
In all its vibrant colors and hues
Open your heart to the pain of your fellow beings
Don’t shun the company of those who are different
There is zilch difference between you and them
Feel their sorrow and joys
Walk a mile in their shoes
Before you can talk about their lot in life

We have to walk a mile in their shoes before judging them. Beautifully penned, Sadje. Great job with all those prompts

Thanks Shweta.
I’ve read a lot of comments and posts where people are criticizing the protests and protestors. They need to understand the pain before they pass judgment.

May in the current times, a protest may not be a good idea. But someone has to sit up and notice their issues too

Exactly! I don’t think that protesting in large groups is a good idea but as you said we have to state our views and I think writing about that helps

Yes it’s the safest way to stand up for what we believe in in these testing times.
