Fandango Friday Flashback- Photo Challenge- 267

I am sharing this post from 12 June 2019 in response to Fandango Friday Flashback.

Sally was a loner. Her parents wanted her to play with other kids in the neighborhood but she was usually playing hopscotch by herself. And when her mom asked her why was she playing alone, she would say that she was with Jane. Now her mom knew there lived no one by that name in their neighborhood and so would urge Sally to play with kids her age.

One day when Sally insisted that she did play with her best friend Jane, Sally’s mom decided to see for herself. She went in the cul-de-sac where she knew Sally played each afternoon and peeked to see what she was doing. She must have made a sound because she saw a little girl carrying a backpack just disappearing through the wall. Sally was very upset at this invasion of her play place.

Jane never came back to play with her.
