Paula is the host of Thursday Inspiration

Welcome to Thursday Inspiration!

This week’s theme is hair and the picture is below. Here is the song snippet from “Hair,” a song written by James Rado and Gerome Ragni for the 1967 musical Hair.

Darlin’, give me a head with hair, long beautiful hair
Shining, gleaming, steaming, flaxen, waxen
Give me down to there hair, shoulder length or longer
Here, baby, there, momma, everywhere, daddy, daddy
Hair, hair, hair, hair, hair, hair, hair, hair
Flow it, show it, long as God can grow it, my hair

Mermaid with purple hair

Wordle #193

Wordle 193

Glower- to look or stare with sullen dislike, discontent, or anger: a look of sullen dislike, discontent, or anger✔️
Plaintive- expressing sorrow or melancholy; mournful✔️
Running Water✔️

The hair dresser was in a fix. She had tried to pander to the wishes of the blond teenager. But her shock of wild mane when dyed in candy stripes looked hilarious. Now the girl was complaining in a plaintive voice and her mom was glowering at her. Her eyes were drilling holes onto her.

“What else could I do ma’am? It’s no fault of mine. I followed the design your daughter showed me”. She said defensively. “I will try to lighten the dark color, where it shows in a wavy line on the side and fill in with a more neutral shade”

She washed the girl’s hair under running water and recolored them. It wasn’t easy, and she was feeling weak in the knees with thought of these clients costing her her job. Finally, the hair was done. It clinged to the girls head flatteringly and gave her the coveted look she wanted. With hope to pass muster, she turned the client’s chair around and waited for the pierce eyed scrutiny of the girl and her mom.

“Oh, one has to be blind not to notice how you have bungled. But I won’t press the matter. But you’re not getting any tips from me!” Said the mom spitefully.

  1. I love these kinds of stories, even though I haven’t the faintest idea what ‘these kinds’ means, why I like certain ones so much, and I also can’t explain what they have in common, all the ones I love like this. But they intrigue me and are very gripping. If I’m being confusing, my point is: good job.
