Fandango’s Flash Fiction Challenge #69- Secret Hideaway

FFFCWelcome to “Fandango’s Flash Fiction Challenge.”

The image below is from Zane Lee at the visually challenged writer, the image is of a blue doorway surrounded by a circular wood frame in a dwelling that is nestled within underbrush)

It’s hidden deep into the forest, away from prying eyes and questing souls

I seek refuge from monsters that seek to destroy my peaceful existence

Here my only visitors are the wild deers and errant squirrels

They are happy to munch on the bushes around the cottage but never bother me

I am safe here from the intrusive people who ridicule my appearance and criticize my choices

I am content to be alone here with my thoughts and solitude

        1. When I started to blog, I wanted to address the issues women over 50 face. I have seen them becoming despondent and depressed, losing interest in being actively involved in life so I named my blog “Keep it alive”
