Share Your World- 6- 8 – 2020

SYW Computer Globe

How comfortable are you speaking in front of large groups of people?

In school, I was on the debating team and would make passionate speeches on a regular basis. After the first couple of minutes, I would be comfortable. Now for a long time, I haven’t had to speak in front of a lot of people, so I don’t know that if I still have the ability to do so or has it evaporated with my youth.

What would be the best thing you could reasonably expect to find in a cave?

A cute cuddly bear, totally non-hostile and hospitable. Okay, this seems very improbable so I will settle for a portal to the magic kingdom.

What did you think was going to be amazing but turned out to be horrible?

That happens far too frequently than I would like. When I put all my energy and best efforts into producing a great dish on the occasion when we were having company. It would turn out just disappointing. And when I don’t do anything special, it comes out great!

Murphy’s law!

What’s the silliest thing you’ve observed someone get upset about?

It’s not the nature of things that are going wrong that upsets people but their frame of mind at that moment. I have seen people crying buckets over a bad haircut, or when it starts to rain and they are planning an outdoor party.

As I said it’s the frame of mind that brings the overload of emotions.

Please feel free to share something that gave you an uplifted spirit during this past week.  (Optional)

As I have often written, I am helping with homeschooling of my grandson, so I am happy that the school will end after ten more days, and then we won’t have any schedules to follow or class meetings to attend. I am planning to go home in August and that is less than 2 months away. So good news all around.

Flowers from my walk.

  1. Thanks Sadje for Sharing Your World! Your photos are so beautiful! I look forward each week to seeing a fresh share of those! Uplifts my spirits and makes my whole day! 🙂 Debate team, hmm? Wow! Good for you and no, I don’t think that kind of impassioned speaking is something a person loses, regardless of their age. Cute cuddly bear is a great choice, but the portal to the Magic Kingdom might be better! 😆

    1. Thanks Melanie. I love doing your SYW posts. It gives us a chance to tell each other about ourselves and our views on life. Thanks for liking my amateurish photos. I walk the same route daily and I have to look for some new to share.

  2. I can so relate to the Murphy’s Law cooking note!! And I so agree, it’s what space my mind is in that affects anything and everything. Good post 🙂
