Paula is the host of Thursday Inspiration
Welcome to Thursday Inspiration!
This week’s theme is sunset and the picture is below. Here is the song snippet from “Sunrise Sunset,” a song written in 1964 by Sheldon Harnick and Jerry Bock for Fiddler on the Roof.
Sunrise, sunset, sunrise, sunset
Swiftly flow the days
Seedlings turn overnight to sunflowers
Blossoming even as we gaze
Image from the Happy Color app.
As my day ends and the sun sets
The sky turns dark and stars come out
I try to reflect on how I lived my day
Was it a productive day, did I do well
Did I achieve all that I had set out to do
Were there moments of joy or humor today
Did I step out of my shell to lend a helping hand
To a friend, a family member or a stranger
If not all that I wanted, was accomplished
There is always a new day tomorrow
And a new sunset to look forward to
