Linda is the host of Stream Of Consciousnesses Saturday.

Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “ch
.” Find a word that starts with “ch” and use it as your prompt word. Bonus points if you start your post with that word. Enjoy!

Change is not your enemy.

Make it your friend, use it to learn and grow. The best thing you can do is accept it and move on.

How many laments I have heard of how nice things used to be before it all changed. But the ground reality is that they have changed, so we need to take that as our starting point and move forward from it. Take the change in your stride and use the opportunity to make improvements in life.

“Life is a series of natural and spontaneous changes. Don’t resist them; that only creates sorrow. Let reality be reality. Let things flow naturally forward in whatever way they like”

Lao Tzu

(I have a confession to make. After writing this post, I realized that I am being contrary to my own words. Here I am advocating change and accepting it while I am resisting the change WordPress is trying to force onto us, the block editor! So I have promised myself to try to work on it at least once!)

  1. I can relate to knowing something is good for me and encouraging acceptance like Lao Tzu says, but my thoughts and actions not exactly following along. We are after all human. If something is working for us, it’s hard to embrace change. Acceptance doesn’t mean we have to like it.
