The lockdown is a hiatus in everyone’s life. It is an enforced sabbatical for some. For others, it is an overly busy period of working from home while caring for family. Life as you knew it, is on hold.
You are basically in a period of waiting. It is something like waiting in an airport lounge while your flight is delayed again and again.
You can either spend this time pacing up and down in frustration OR you can use this time to catch up on your reading/email/social media and any number of other activities. The choice is yours.
“When fishermen cannot go to sea, they repair their nets.”
I found this quote about fishermen repairing their nets on social media. It seemed so apt for using the lockdown time positively. This is such a great time for trying all those changes / improvements that you always wanted to do but never had time or energy for.
What are you doing to ‘repair’ (re-vamp or update) yourself and your blog during the lockdown?
This is a very relevant question as most people have a lot of free time at their hands right now. And it is always a good idea to use the extra time in a constructive way.
For me, the situation is a bit different.
• I am busier these days as I’m helping and overseeing my grandson’s homeschooling schedule. And it is no joke to get back into the role of a teacher’s assistant after my kids have been done with school a long while back. I am leaning the new way of teaching math and also have to battle out the different finer points of the lessons with my strong-willed grandson.
• I am a tech-phobe! I never mess with my blog theme or any other part of the page because if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. I might just ruin it completely.
• I spend more time walking outside and have less time to give to my blog.
So for the time being, the blog will continue as it is. If any of my kind blogging family sees anything that needs fixing on my page, please let me know.
Thank you, Tanya, for another interesting question!
