Welcome to Thursday Inspiration!
This week’s theme is crumble and the picture is below. Here is the song snippet from “Crumblin’ Down” co-written and performed by John Mellencamp in 1983.
Saw my picture in the paper
Read the news around my face
And now some people
Don’t want to treat me the same
When the walls come tumblin’ down
When the walls come crumblin’ crumblin’
When the walls come tumblin’ tumblin’ down
Image from the Happy Color app.
The whole world collapsed in front of my eyes
The crumbling and falling pieces disappearing
Deep into an unseen abyss without a sound
It was surreal
When I woke up, I was glad to be in a world
That was intact and functioning
It was true that my life had changed recently
But the world still existed, we still lived
The dream showed me a reality that I feared
But also gave hope that things weren’t
As bad as we imagined or apprehended
We still live
