Everywhere she looked, she saw red
Like the heart in the card, he had given her
A dress that she saw in a display window
Or the bowl of raspberries on the table in the bistro
She wanted to wear that red dress
To show she also loved him back
To cook dinner for him and finish
With the dessert of raspberries and cream
She saw love everywhere but not him
His love was so long ago and it was too late
If she hadn’t wasted those years in thinking!
“If you wish to be a warrior prepare to get broken. If you wish to be an explorer prepare to get lost. If you wish to be a lover prepare to be both.” -Daniel Saint
The images are a beautiful, young red headed woman in a river wearing a red dress, a bowl of raspberries, a collection of personal items including a pair of glasses, a rusted truck bumper with red flowers, and snazzy looking rubber duckies travelling via a street gutter.
