Dylan Hughes is the host of First Line Friday
It is First Line Friday! Welcome and let’s get writing.
Your line for this week is:
Everyone breathed easier at the first signs of spring.
~*~
Everyone breathed easier at the first signs of spring. The creatures and the plant life all were ready for the new cycle of life to start. It was a hard and long winter this year and it was with a lot of jubilation that coming of spring was greeted with!
Snowdrops pushed through the hard soil bravely and were happy to see that the forest trees were turning green with tiny buds. Birds and animals alike were overcome with the joy of the new season!

Everyone breathed easier at the first signs of spring
extending grace to those
still wrangling
from frozen ground
together is the march
that reaches shore

I like the idea of all of the creatures being happy about spring. The personification of the snowdrops is especially vivid and effective!
