What do you see # 16- A roundup

What do you see?

Do you see me or my reflection

Do you think I am real or an illusion

Is my physical self present or suspended

In the worlds between this and that

The reality comes knocking on my door often

I just pretend not to be here in the now

But hiding from life can become a habit

For one day you may see me and yet not see at all

So what do you see?

Thank you all so much for your support and participation in this week’s prompt.

  1. Your verse reminds me of the many hats that one person wears. One could also say ‘masks’…
It still tickles me to some extent that I remember the first time I heard the job description of Domestic Engineer; cook, laundress, housekeeper, chauffeur, mediator, seamstress, gardener… And that only pertained to what “the woman” did in the home – not even if she had an outside paying job!

Thanks again for keeping this prompt going, the round up and your continued support of all those who contribute. πŸ˜€

    1. Thank you Jules.
That was what I read and it was the perfect description of a stay at home mother/wife.
It’s my great pleasure and I appreciate the support all of you are giving to my efforts. πŸ’–
