Digging in the tribal sacred ground was off limits, but when the boundaries were demarcated, luckily for Adams, that he was able to get permission for exploring there. After undertaking a arduous journey, he reached the site with his team. After a few false starts the hit the jackpot. It was a dream come true for him when he found the pottery shards dating from early Aztec era. He was able to find enough pieces to construct the broken vase almost entirely. It was to be his masterpiece find. To celebrate this remarkable discovery, he went out with fellow archeologists to celebrate and had a bit too much to drink that evening. Can you imagine his horror and guilt when he found the morning after that he had in his drunken stupor, almost demolished his own treasured find!
