What went on in the last decade of my life!
•My eldest daughter became a mom in March 2010, and I became a grandmother for the very first time.
•I had my right knee replaced in December of 2011
•2012 was a traumatic time for my eldest daughter but she came out of it a stronger person.
•My son completed his education and started a job in 2012
•I had my second knee replaced in April 2015
•My eldest completed her master’s degree and started her Ph.D. program in 2015 in Seattle.
•I stayed a year with her to settle her and her five-year-old son there.
•My son got married in 2016
•My youngest completed her masters in 2017
•My youngest daughter got married in 2017
•I started my blog in September 2018.
•We were blessed with two more grandchildren, a girl and a boy in April 2019
What have been your happiest moments between the years of January 2010 – Currently?
The best moment would have to be the birth of our three grandchildren.
Other than that, starting my blog, getting my knees fixed and not having to take pain meds regularly were also high points.
Another good thing is that I have finally found the magic formula to lose weight and am on the path of being healthy.
Do you think that in the last ten years all of your personality has come through or do you still think there is more to develop?
I think that as long as I am alive, I would like to learn and grow. My basic personality also has changed and hopefully will keep on changing for the better. I want to develop more positive traits and get rid of the negative ones.
The benefits of getting older and learning to not care about the opinion of others is a very positive thing I learned.
Did you manage to tick off any ‘bucket list’ requirements over the last ten years – if so what were they?
I don’t have any lists, bucket or otherwise. I just go with the flow. If I feel that I would like to do something or go visit someplace I make a mental note of it, but mostly I forget about it in a short while.
Living in the moment and being happy in now and here, that’s my philosophy in life.
Did you have a good, bad, or fugly decade?
I think that the good out-weighed the bad. So I would say that overall it’s a good decade, with lots of important milestones occurring in it.
I hope that the next decade we see is even better.
Now for Questions,
How are you planning to spend the next decade in improving your health?
Have you noticed your tastes in music, literature and clothing change drastically over the last 10 years?
How would you rate your last decade in terms of achieving life goals?
Do you think our planet will be doing well in the next decade?
