50 Words Thursday # 52

Deb Whittam is the host of 50 Words Thursday this week.

The Rules:

The ringing of the bell was insistent. She looked at the time and mumbled under her breath, “who could it be at this time of night”

She was enjoying the nightly reruns of her favorite soap. The heroine was saying in a breathless whisper,“ If you kiss me you will live forever.” And she wasn’t going to miss this scene by going to see who was at the front-door. But whoever it was, wasn’t giving up. So she reluctantly got up.When she opened the door she forgot all about the fictional romance. Her own hero was standing right here.
