Sarah is the host of Mind loves Misery’s Menagerie-Saturday Mix
There was a heavy thunderstorm,
The wind snorted outside,
Rattling my windowpanes as if frustrated
The storm demanded to be granted admission
Its sound and fury expressing the displeasure
Against the closed doors policy implemented
But I need to protect my humble abode from
The destruction it wants to wreck if given a chance
I sit quietly waiting for the howls of the wind to die down
The lashing rain to slow down to a light drizzle
The flashes of lightning to ease off into a smooth darkness
Then I will venture outside to enjoy the coolness left behind.
