They were glad to find shelter as the weather was turning to cold, the snowfall perhaps a few hours away and as Alex was the eldest she had assumed the responsibility for the younger two, in the absence of any adults.

She felt a tug on her hand to see Sara looking up at her with scared eyes, ” are we going to stay here Alex, hope those men following us don’t find us here” with a lump in her throat she reassured her that they were safe here and took out the food she had packed to share with Sara and her brother.

They had escaped the mercenaries who had destroyed their village and had captured or killed the adults who had resisted this inhuman treatment.

The Prompt;

You’ll find full guidelines on the TLT page – here’s the tl;dr:

  • Write three lines inspired by the photo prompt (& give them a title if possible).
  • Link back to this post (& check the link shows up under the weekly post).
  • Tag your post with 3LineTales (so everyone can find you in the Reader).
  • Read and comment on other TLT participants’ lines.
  • Have fun.

Happy three-lining!
