Thursday photo prompt: Stillness #writephoto

Sue Vincent is the host of Thursday Photo Prompt

#writephoto

Welcome to this week’s writephoto prompt.

Use the image below as inspiration to create a post on your own blog… poetry, prose, humour… light or dark, whatever you choose, by noon (GMT)  Wednesday 16th October and link back to this post with a pingback to be included in the round-up.  There is no word limit and no style requirements, except to keep it fairly family-friendly.

For visually challenged writers, the image shows the dark silhouette of a cliff and against a calm sea and a sun-gold horizon.

Serenity

When the world is still sleeping and the day is yet to begin

The sun is going to brighten our world, but not just yet

There is a corner of my universe that is filled with peace

The serenity and quietness of early morning dawn and only me

I stand in the stillness of the time, a pause before the morning takes

Its first breath, before the business of life resumes its chaotic pace

A few moments to recharge

A few breaths of freshness

A time where I am just with me

I savor these precious minutes

Before I plunge back into the pursuit of living!

  1. This is truly beautiful (both your words and the photograph). I find my days are much better when I can see the sun rise and have those moments of blissful quiet. It is like a daily gift. I love your expression of it.
