He paused and looked imploringly at his parents.

“Dad, you are getting my point” A plea in his voice. Charles wasn’t happy where the conversation was going. But he was a sensible man. If your eighteen year old son has an input regarding his own life, you have to listen to him. Marie wasn’t so understanding. She had high hopes and dreams for her son. It was beyond her why he wanted to forgo going to Harvard and take up paintings classes in a local art studio. But the days of steamrolling kids into following parents dreams were over.
