Everyone had said their goodbyes and now Cathy was sitting here to keep her mom company till the end. The doctor had told the family that she would not last tonight. Her mom was suffering from senile dementia, but pancreatic cancer was going to be the cause of her death. She was in coma since she came to the hospital. Suddenly she opened her eyes and gave Cathy a smile. Her hand gripped her’s in a strong grip. And then she passed away quietly. Cathy felt it was the greatest gift that she recognized her daughter at the end.
