I wrote a post about spirituality a few months back.

But for this post, I am going to do something new.

~*~*~*~*~

There is something inside of me, in my heart and my soul that I call my “spiritual self ” which is as much a part of me as my heart or brain. I don’t think that I can ever be complete with this part of me.

Because even while it is okay and wonderful to be able to use all my senses and to think with my brain, but if I cannot feel from my spiritual self, I will never be able to make a real judgement call. This part of me guides me in all matters of conscience. It is essential for discerning between right and wrong. And most of all it gives me the strength to take what life throws at me. Without my spiritual self I would be frazzled by the life’s challenges and would lose my way when I am in dark.

You can say that it anchors me, grounds me, tethers me to a bigger reality than that is visible ordinarily.

  1. Thank you for sharing part of yourself, Sadje! I feel we all have a “spiritual self” but some don’t realize it or don’t want to reveal it. Whether or not one is religious, I believe our spiritual self can be our own inner savior. Thank you for joining the weekly challenge.

  2. This is beautiful. In a world that seems to scream “buy, buy, buy” being in touch with one’s spirituality seems more important than other. I am so glad you wrote this, and grateful that I got to read it. Great post!
