Stream of Consciousness Saturday June1st

Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “silent/silence.” Use one or both in your post. Have fun!

Silence is golden!

I shouldn’t probably write anything further.

Stay quiet, let my meaning get through to you via the telepathic vibes that my mind is sending right now.

But you know me. Staying silent is not my thing. I write and discuss my ideas on life with you all. So though I do know that sometimes the strongest statement you can make is by staying silent, I still have a few words to say.

Use your word and your silence wisely.

At times staying silent can amount to a crime. When you see injustice, cruelty or violence being committed, don’t stay silent. Speak up, express your outrage and try to break this ugly cycle. It is imperative that we all realize the importance of standing up to a bully and voicing our strong objections.

There are times when uttering what is in our heart and mind can become a source of regret later, than its time to stay mum. Keep those angry or hurtful words locked inside your heart. Don’t say them, for when we cool down, we realize that they were unjust.

I read this very wise quote:

” We can learn to talk in a couple of years but it takes a lifetime to learn when to talk and when to stay silent “

Another pearl of wisdom;

“Remember not only to say the right thing in the right place, but far more difficult still, to leave unsaid the wrong thing at the tempting moment.”
 Benjamin Franklin
