Blogging—- I did it ; 1000 posts!

Eight months!

It took me eight months and a few days to get to this milestone.

Just wanted to share this bit of good news with you all. So if I was like Fandango, I would post an analysis of my posts. How many on which genre or topic. But I am;

A. Too lazy

B. Short on time

So let’s just say that apart from a few reblogs, I have written that many post.

They include poems, short stories and dedicated blog posts. I am happy with most of them. If they all are not good, they have helped me to write better. And that is what counts.

I want to write stuff that makes my readers think, make them smile or just something silly to suit the prompt. The aim of my blog is still;

” To address the issues women over fifty are facing “

But along the way I am learning to write, I am getting better at expressing myself and I hope I am making fewer mistakes in my grammar and spellings.(The fact that WordPress took away the spellcheck has made me a bit conscious about it!)

So thank you, everyone for reading what I write. You are kind enough to encourage me, give me useful advice and like what I post. I would never have written this much if you weren’t reading it!

  1. This is terrific! Well done you!!!
    I’ve found a spell checker if this helps:
    if when you’re typing you have a wavy line under a word, or one you’re not sure of, hi-light it and right click and you get a menu that has ‘check spelling’ on it. It will also list corrections/suggestions at the top. It only does word for word, but it’s useful.

    1. Thanks a lot Di. I have that on my iPad but what I found useful was the one in the WP app that would underline the grammatical errors. I am trusting my judgment on that now. If I write on the laptop then I can use your way. Thank you so much.

  2. It is heartening to know that you managed 1000 posts in 8 months! I’ve just started writing my blog and so far, I’ve done 5 posts on mental health, once a week. It is inspiring to know that consistency can be achieved with commitment. Thank you!

  3. Congratulations, Sadje! Wow, 1000 posts is quite a milestone! I’m just almost doing double digits and here you are with four. Tremendous success! And I agree that blogging definitely makes you a better writer. I’m very happy for you reaching this landmark and wish you plenty of success in the future!

  4. Wow, what an achievement! Yes, I think it would be valuable to see an analysis of the posts, not just for you but for other bloggers. You are probably thinking about what direction to go in next. (At least, that happens with me at regular intervals!)

    1. Thanks. I do but right now I am building my writing skills so I am going with my previous pattern. Will do some serious thinking in about another 4 months when I reach one year mark.
