I love tea made the old fashioned way. Where you put the tea leaves in a warm teapot and let it sit for a while, preferably under a tea cosy. Then you strain it through a strainer and add milk and honey. You need a couple of cucumber sandwiches or scones with clotted cream to enjoy this cup of tea. And naturally there has to be another cup to wash down all those sandwiches and scones. One can restrain oneself from overindulgence but this needs super will-power. Exercising will-power puts a lot of strain on our minds and those of us who have a weak self-restrain can succumb to temptation in a short time. Anyway all this writing about food and tea has my tastebuds straining to ingest some lip smacking food, so chow!

Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “strain.” Use it any way you’d like. Enjoy!
