Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “dough/d’oh.” Use one, use both, use ’em any way you like. Enjoy!
A young person’s life is like a ball of dough. Malleable and elastic. You can form it into any shape you want. As they grow up, the softness and malleability is replaced by increasing hardness. They have adopted a shape and with time, their personalities are taking up the shape which is either dictated by their desires or by the circumstances they are growing up in. They have plans for their future, which might involve earning lot of dough or getting famous or both. Then there are those who have noble aims in life, like serving their country or humanity. They engage in professions which provide them with the tools to acquire their set goals.
Whatever path they tread in life, there are bound to be d’oh moments in life. That is a rule in life. We end in situations where the only thing left to say is d’oh! When one is facing such a situation, grab a doughnut and a cup of coffee or tea and enjoy the follies of life.
