So now it’s time for my fouth weekly Fandango’s Flash Fiction Challenge. The image below is from this picture inspires you and you wish to participate, please write your post, use the tag #FFFC, and link back to this post.

Please take a few minutes to read some of the other responses to this photo challenge. And most important, have fun.

Twisting and turning all night, trying to catch a few hours or even minutes of sleep. The rest that you treasure is eluding you. But alas it’s morning and though you have hardly closed your eyes all night, there are chores to be done. Things to see to. Kids have to be woken up to get ready for school and the breakfast to be readied.

You will get up and do the required. But it would feel as if you are not all there. Like the walking dead or the zombie. You go into action despite feeling like as if a part of your soul is missing. Even opening the eyes seems like a difficult chore, as the eyelids feel like they are glued together.

You are so tired and longing to get a few hour of shuteye! But it seems like that you will have to wait till nightfall. Hopefully tonight you will get some sleep.

  1. I can relate. This morning my daughter asked me what’s for breakfast and I told her I’m still sleepy from staying up late. She laughed because I looked like a zombie talking lol.
