Tale Weaver #213— Wall

Michael from Mindlovemisery’s Menagerie has challenged us;

This week I am challenging you to write about a wall.

What images, ideas come to mind with the mention of something we contend with in every day life.

Some stop us going places, some are for our safety, some are guides to help us navigate situations.

Go where your thoughts go and have fun.

Please limit your responses to 500 – 600 words and link them using the linking tool below.

Behind the wall

When you look up, you can’t see above it

And it extends on both sides as far as the eye can see

It is a barrier to crossing to the other side

It is here to keep them there

Is behind the wall

That needs to be kept separated

Should there be a division

Between us and them, between haves and have-nots

The thing that needs to be understood

That nobody is paying and attention to

Is that the solution is in itself a problem

That walls come down and destroy its builders
