There was palpable tension between the angry protesters and the police deployed to keep the peace and a few of the protesting youth were trying their best to provoke the law keepers to retaliate.

The standoff seemed to be at an impasse as the angry young protesters were adamant on entering the public offices of the Mayor and make him listen to their demands of releasing their colleagues at once.

The photographer from the local newspaper was the one who broke through the tension and made a truce between the two groups by asking them to pose with him in a selfie!
