A line dividing
The chain link fence was already towering over the property of those who thought that they were different from the people living near them.
A sense of superiority was ever present in these families who employed the “locals” to work in their plants, to cook their food, clean their houses and tend to all the things these rich and privileged people didn’t want to perform.
In return, they offered no sympathy or understanding of the plight of the locals but instead had an unreasonable fear of them, so much so that they decided to add barbed wire to the top of the fence, and in doing so they thought that they were safe.
