Here are the rules:

Please be sure to link back to THIS POST for January 18th, 2019.

Who would be your best friend? The companionship that you would desire above all other? Who else but you yourself! In life you get many opportunities to make friends. You have your family, your significant other and then the married people have their spouses. All can be great companions. But in all this, if you are not a true friend to yourself, the others are not going to fill the gap which can only be filled by our own self love. This love of ours need to be accepting of our personality, our deficiencies and positive traits.

The alone time need not be a lonely time, if we provide company to ourselves. Be supportive of your own decisions, and not to be your own worse enemy. I hope that I am making some sense here, but I want to express this thing clearly. If you are not going to be your own friend, you will find hard to make other friends. Why? Because if we accept our own self, with all our flaws the message we project to others is of a positive nature. But if we are in conflict with ourselves, the image projected is negative. We come across as a person who is forever in need of assurance and confidence boosting. Self love is the key to living a satisfying life.

So be your own faithful, loving and understanding companion.
