Her eyes feasted on the view in front of her. It was. The epitome of her life’s work. All she had worked for was now in front of her. The years spent in studying, broadening her mind and acquiring the knowledge were now going to bring her the reward she wanted.
She had grown up in the slumps of this sprawling city. And was always considered not good enough to be invited to mix with the kids from her class which belonged to the well off families. But she has fixed it now. She had channeled her resentment of being born in unfavorable circumstances into her studies and had worked her tail off to achieve her degree.
Today her medical clinic and charity hospital was being inaugurated by the same elite who had rejected her family in the past. But she had forced them to not only acknowledge her existence but to accept her as their equal.
