Have you been in this sort of situation? Misunderstanding the requirement or the request and doing something totally opposite! I often have been in this type of fix. The reason is that I am too impulsive. I think I got all the details, but I sometimes miss an important part of the message or the memo!
This impulsiveness has landed me many times in the situation where I am the one apologizing for the mixup . But I often find it amusing in the retrospect. But do the people on the other side do so too?
Do I find it easy to forgive when there is a mixup or misunderstanding? I do try not to create a scene and curb my annoyance because I know that I can make same blunders when the shoe is on the other foot. What about you? How do you react when someone’s ineptness and blunder has cost you loss of valuable time and money?
Waiting for your feedback and comments.

Nothing costs me money…I don’t have any to begin with. Time is free, so no loss there. Unless someone got injured, then I have a problem with forgiving people easily. Regardless of what some people think, I don’t hold grudges. That only hurts oneself.

Yes, grudges hurts us. But I try to control my instant reaction. Hope I get there.

It’s a good question. If I’m honest my initial reactions when I feel I’ve been hard done by or that I’ve had my time wasted is to do just that – react. Lately though, I’ve tried to be less reactionary in general.

Trying is what matters. We will get there if we try hard enough.

I can relate! I forgive easily though. I don’t also hold grudges.

That’s great. I don’t hold grudges but sometimes I have an instant reaction that I am trying to control.

Thank you. That’s where I’m good at now. I used to instant react too when I was younger. I had a turnaround ever since someone told me it can make me look older if I do not relax and control. 😉

I saw a quote the other day that fits this, I think. If we hold grudges then are hands are full and we can not catch the blessings as they fall.

I have been too forgiving. I’m working on that. Tired of being a doormat. The only people who have my unconditional love and forgiveness are my children.

The other side of the scale. Yes these need to be balanced, otherwise we are living in a lopsided world.

I am generally quite forgiving.
If it’s a genuine mistake or blunder I will go out of my way to put the blunder maker at ease.
If I find that something was done on purpose and with malicious intent I still won t confront the person. However I will do my best to avoid them in future.

That would be the wise thing to do.

Yeah, it’s one way of dealing with this type of situation.

my brain is a sieve! I forget and confuse a lot of things, but if I laugh at myself it does not seem to be so bad after all. I only worry if I have taken someone’s time for granted.
