No regrets

As she flipped through the photos, a host of memories invaded her mind. These were from the last holiday, they took together as a family.

What amazing time they all had. Now they were all in different places. She was living with her mom, the kids were in college and her husband, well she didn’t want to think about that man anymore. How he had cheated on her and the painful divorce.

She slammed the album shut. It was no way to spend the last day of the year. She was going to leave all those hurtful memories in the past, where they belonged. Squaring her shoulders, she sat up a bit straight and resolutely. Switching on her laptop, she logged into it and opened the website and started her online application for the job she thought would suit her perfectly.
