Autocorrect hates my writing!

Here, I am trying to write

There, it is bent on spoiling

Who, you may ask?

This blasted autocorrect!!

I want : we are

It writes, where

I type :there

It comes out : they are

“From here” becomes : former

“Hey there” becomes : hyper

My sentences look funny

My grammar all askew

Why is this autocorrect

Turning my post in a stew?

Writing is no picnic anyway

But throw in this well-meaning gadget

It’s bound to reduce you

To tears of frustration

(It just changed tears to years)

If I disable my autocorrect

Then who will check my spellings

If I don’t, how will I finish!

Why does autocorrect hate me so?

My autocorrect doesn’t like the word autocorrect!

Do you have issues with autocorrect?

Share them and your feedback with me.

  1. Yes autocorrect hates e everyone
    Not just us bloggers.
My non blogging friends complain too.

But it is a love hate relationship.
Sometimes when you begin to write o longer word like reccomendations, autocorrect anticipates this and fills in.
At times like this I love autocorrect.

    1. Thanks a lot for stopping by. At times it is so frustrating, specially when writing names of people or places. In my hurry I often post the comments and then when I read them over, they appear very strange and grammatically incorrect. πŸ€ͺ

  2. I sometimes have some problems with spellcheckers. But I am not on autocorrect mode, so I can still correct some of those errors from what is supposed to help me not commit errors…πŸ˜΅πŸ™ƒπŸ’€

Recently, I posted something in a French HPI (gifted/highly-gifted) discussion board. My comment there is in French, so pardon my French πŸ™πŸ˜”πŸ™ƒπŸ˜΅πŸ’–πŸ‘

      1. If you want to translate the content of the screenshot, I can send you the text directly. But right now I can’t, because I am on my other computer, which doesn’t have that file. I don’t know if you knew about DeepL? It is a free service (there’s also a paid version, the free one is limited to 5000 characters at a time) that works way better that Google’s to keep the meaning between the original and the translated version. It’s not as good as what a human translator can do, but it is fast. https://www.deepl.com/translator
